Teaching programming to large classes

I have been teaching large classes (near 100, plus or minus 20) for about three years now. However, this is the first time I have started teaching an introductory programming course to a large class — of about 120 students or so. So, I am finding the posts of Dheeraj Sanghi on this topic very interesting and useful; even though my class is not as big as his, the problems are almost the same! And, the solutions are not too different either — but for some dedicated final year B Tech and fourth year Dual Degree students (to the tune of 1 tutor per 10 students) and a couple of system administrators helping me run the labs, I do not think I would have been able to run the course at all.
