Another evening of Carnatic music

Listened to T M Krishna at Anushakti Nagar, Bhaktha Rasika Ranjani Sabha. A very memorable concert; thoroughly enjoyed! The violin (R K Shrikumar) Shriram Kumar) was great too; and the mridangam (Arun Prakash) was so…soft. The jagadodharana, govardhana giri, sharade,  varugalamo ayya, rama janardhana, arul puriyum angayar kanni rtp, thyagaraja yoga vaibhavam and ekkalathilum maravene I am going to remember for a long time to come!

A small correction: violinist is Shri R K Shriram Kumar

I hope The Hindu reviewers’ way of noting names of artistes didn’t get to you. [Link]

    PS: Just kidding. 🙂

    Thanks! Fixed.

    Hi Guru,
This is actually off-topic but I was wondering, since you seem to have a large reading feed, if you might know any libertarian/classical liberal/free-market type but quality economic magazines in India that I could track online. (I get the impression the answer is ‘no’ since you follow EPW, which is heavily leftist, although decent quality, and even P. Sainath!) Thanks!

p.s: I’m aware of the Centre for Civil Society. Any other?

      Dear Karthik:

You asked and you answered it too; I do not know of any, though, I am open to suggestions. Abi is another person to ask the question. He might know some.

Great, thanks! Will check with him in a day or two
