Dr. Watson, Mr. Holmes and Faraday

Apparently, Michael Faraday evaluated two proposals to electrify the lighthouses — one by Dr. Watson and another by Mr. Holmes according to Frank A J L James’ Faraday: a very short introduction. These proposal evaluations happened in 1850s, which is earlier than the appearance of Holmes and Watson in Conan Doyle’s novels!
