Origami with shape memory sheets
Here is an interesting idea I found in Ian Stewart’s piece in Nature about origami:
Complex three-dimensional forms could arise from flat, stamped sheets of ’shape memory’ materials merely by heating them.
A very clever combination of materials science and mathematics indeed. The entire piece is very nice indeed; take a look.

Hi. I’m trying a soft shape memoryzing material. This material shouldn’t work thanks to heat inputs. In the maximum case, I think, it could work thanks to electric inputs, because I’d like using this for car seats.
Can you indicate me the name of one of these materials?
Thanks for availability.

Excuse me, the material I referred you can be also not soft.
